What do we request of OPAC members?

  • Provide a patient and/or family member perspective during monthly meetings
  • Participate in topic-specific focus groups
  • Participate in committees to provide the patient/or family member voice

What are the details of membership?

  • Members are asked to serve a 3-year term
  • Members are asked to attend a minimum 9 out of the 12 meetings each year
  • Meetings are on the second Wednesday of every month and alternate between 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Members are asked to join committees focused on Duke Cancer Institute initiatives to provide their patient/caregiver perspective
