Independent Grants for Learning & Change (IGLC) Track 2 - Call for Grant Applications (CGA) EGFR Targeted-Therapies in Lung Cancer

Funding Agency: Pfizer Inc.

The mission of Pfizer Independent Grants for Learning & Change (IGLC) is to partner with the global healthcare community to improve patient outcomes in areas of mutual interest through support of measurable learning and change strategies. “Independent” means that the projects funded by Pfizer are the full responsibility of the recipient organization. Pfizer has no influence over any aspect of the projects and only asks for reports about the results and the impact of the projects in order to share them publicly. Through this CGA we encourage organizations to submit grant requests that, if funded, will support education in a specific disease state, therapeutic area, or broader area of educational need. Educational activities should not be focused on products specific to Pfizer.

It is our intent to support continuing education programs that increase the awareness and understanding of the evolving treatment landscape & new targeted therapies for patients with EGFR mutation-positive NSCLC. Of particular interest are programs to address new and emerging first-line therapy options, mechanisms of acquired resistance (e.g. T790M), and considerations for subsequent therapy.

The target learner audiences include: Medical Oncologists, Health System Pharmacists, Oncology Nurses, Nurse Practiotioners & Physician Assistants.

All CME/CE activity types will be considered through this CGA including but not limited to; multi-part series with periodic updates, national or regional symposia, workshops, regional community series (live and/or virtual); online courses & tools, print materials and other enduring materials. (There is particular interest in potentially supporting live symposia at the IASLC World Lung Conference 2018 and as well as ASCO 2019.

Funding Amount:  $250,000

The total available budget related to this CGA is approximately $850,000. The typical grant maximum under this CGA will be up to $250,000. Larger proposals will be considered for funding if they include multiple activities such as several live events, enduring activities, and supportive materials and tools.
