More than 20 MoDukes, supporters of the Movember Foundation and members of Team Duke Cancer Institute, signed on to shave-down on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Pedro Williams, located on Ninth Street in Durham, North Carolina.
Every November Duke men are invited to team up with the Movember Foundation to help raise awareness and funds in support of men's health and prostate cancer research. Established in 2003, the foundation has to date raised more than $710 million in 21 countries, supporting cancer projects worldwide, including several at Duke. MoDukes participating on Team Duke Cancer Institute have thus raised $2,875 for the 2017 campaign.
