As Duke Cancer Institute approaches its ninth anniversary, DCI leadership is preparing to present DCI Superstar awards in person at cancer centers in Durham and Wake County.
"Last year's in-person visits proved to be a great success," said Michael B. Kastan, MD, PhD, executive director, Duke Cancer Institute. “So we will once again visit cancer centers this fall to present our prestigious DCI Superstar Award to some of our most deserving employees."
Supervisors and colleagues are encouraged to nominate exceptional faculty and staff for the coveted DCI Superstar Achievement Award. Superstars should excel within their area of service, going above and beyond on a regular basis. Each winner will be announced at a special party to be held in November at the workplace of the award recipient.
“We encourage all to help put the spotlight on DCI's most dedicated employees,” said LeAnn Hinson, RN, MSN, divisional chief human resources officer, Duke Cancer Institute. "This is an opportunity to recognize colleagues who have gone above and beyond in support of Duke cancer."
Last years award winners included Stacey Lisi, PharmD, Duke Cancer Center Durham; Robin Hardie-Hood, MD, Duke Cancer Center North Durham; and Alicia Johnson, RN, Duke Women's Cancer Care Raleigh.
