TYAO Patient Navigation

Patient Navigation Blocks Final

Our Teen and Young Adult Oncology (TYAO) patient navigator is available to patients and their loved ones throughout the cancer experience—from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and survivorship. The navigator helps to identify and evaluate barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Additionally the navigator helps connect patients with peer support groups, social meetups and address gaps in care. Other services include providing educational and financial resources for fertility preservation and TYAO-specific funding mechanisms that can help with various patient care-related expenses.

In this video below, Patient Navigation Manager, Valarie Worthy, RN, MSN, shares how she and members of her team are available to help ease barriers to care such as transportation, housing and co-pays.
