Judd W. Moul, MD, FACS, the James H. Semans, MD Professor of Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine and an active member of DCI and the DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers, was the guest presenter at the AnCan/Us TOO Active Surveillance Prostate Cancer Virtual Support Group on Dec. 2.
Moul's talk was entitled “A No-nonsense Interactive discussion on Active Surveillance and Prostate Cancer with a Urologist.”
It was followed by Q&A.
Organizers said they learned about "dumb as” vs. “smart as” approaches to active surveillance in prostate cancer. Moul also spoke about “autopsy biopsies.”
AnCan, home for virtual support groups, and UsTOO, a leading education and support organization for prostate cancer, have come together to provide a monthly Prostate Cancer Active Surveillance specific, peer-led, virtual support group.
