Sexual Health

Research shows changes in sexual satisfaction are common after cancer treatment. Comprehensive sexual health care aims to provide the patient and partner with appropriate specialist care to improve sexual quality of life and intimacy.

Sexual health services, available through the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program, include patient education about the impact of cancer treatments on sexual health and sex therapy services that address concerns surrounding sexual function, sexual feelings, intimacy, and changes in sexual health.

DCPSP’s sex therapist provides individual or joint therapy with a partner.
