David Darr has been named Associate Director of Administration and Senior Director for Research Strategy and Operations for DCI, effective August 15.

Clinical providers, researchers, staff & health leaders came together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center (now DCI).

Gloria Bass, MA, has been a part of the Duke Health family for 41 years, including 26 years at DCI.

“This is really the thing we look forward to all year and we weren’t going to let the pandemic get in the way this year,” said DCI exec. director Michael Kastan, MD, PhD.

Shanta Laurie Garvin MHSA, MPA, CRA, has joined DCI as director of Research Development-Clinical Research.

After many months of preparation and an extensive review process, DCI was renewed as an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center for another five-year period.
