On June 9, Duke Cancer Institute and Susan G. Komen Triangle to Coast hosted "Navigating Survivorship," a live patient forum on breast cancer and survivorship.

The powerful discussion for patients, survivors, thrivers and beyond was part of the month-long Virtual Survivorship Day event hosted by DCI.

The forum — attended virtually by 79 people, including panelists — was moderated by Teresa Dunlap, VP, Komen NCTC Board of Directors, a breast cancer survivor herself and DCI panelists included breast medical oncologist and co-director of the Duke Cardio-Oncology Program Susan Dent, MD, FRCPC, director of Cancer Support & Survivorship Cheyenne Corbett, PhD, LMFT, and patient navigation manager Valarie Worthy, MSN, RN.

Dent is honorary captain of Team Duke Cancer Institute Durham for this year's Komen NTC Race for the Cure, to be held "virtually" on September 12.
