Associate Professor of Neurosurgery

Overview

The treatment of neurosurgical and spinal disorders is a continuing educational process for the patient and myself. I have dedicated my career in these fields and realize that in order to provide the best for my patients, I must continue to evolve and improve. My range of practice extends to degenerative and disc disorders as well as to particular interest in treating patients with complex spine disorders such as deformity, minimally invasive approaches, spine oncology, motion preservation interventions, and trauma/spinal cord injuries. Irrespective of the underlying pathology, it is paramount to understand the patients' goals and establish a treatment paradigm that is unique for them in terms of both non-surgical and surgical options, as no two patients are the same. Our team relationship will be based on a team approach with the patient and a continuing education with improving my technical and literature/evidence based medicine. My goal is with this approach is to re-establish the quality of life patients' lose out on when debilitated with these conditions in the most appropriate treatment plan on an individualistic basis.
