Sundhar Ramalingam
Assistant Professor of MedicineOverview
I treat patients with all types of blood disorders and cancers. I have a special interest in treating patients with prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers. My goal is to be attentive and devoted to my patients who are often dealing with complicated health problems. I try to personalize my care because every patient is different. I believe the future is promising because new treatments are being discovered every day for blood diseases and cancer. I am involved in implementing clinical trials designed to provide patients with access to new cancer therapies. I am especially interested in studying how lifestyle factors such as physical activity and exercise are important to improve cancer health. I am also investigating how we can use mobile health technology to improve cancer care. I grew up in the Research Triangle Park area and I feel honored to practice in the same community I have lived in for more than twenty years.
