The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program provides support services to help patients and their loved ones cope with the impact of cancer on their lives. Services are offered throughout the cancer experience—from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and survivorship, as well as through the circumstances surrounding end of life. 

Services offered include:

  • Individual, couple and family counseling
  • Support groups
  • Self-image resources
  • Child life services
  • Recreation therapy
  • Pet therapy services - Pets at Duke
  • Volunteer companionship
  • Peer support
