Spike Out Cancer

Spike Out Cancer is celebrating their 6th year of raising awareness and funding teens and young adults facing cancer. Join us and show your support by making a one-time donation or pledging* a fixed amount for each spike by the Duke Volleyball team in their match against Stanford on November 22.

Your entire gift will support free therapy services and in-person meetups for these teens and young adults.

*Pledges are tied to every spike made by the Blue Devil team during this game.

Former Teammate Inspires the Team

Research, care, and support for teen and young adult oncology patients has a very important spot in the hearts of the Duke Volleyball family, as one of their former players, Jessi Bartholomew, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in her last semester at Duke. After chemotherapy and radiation, she is now in remission.

Throughout her treatment, the support from Duke Athletics and Duke Cancer Institute was overwhelming for Jessi, her family, and friends.

Spike Out Cancer is a chance for you to show your support and raise awareness for other patients like Jessi who are going through tough times.

Learn more about Jessi's story.
