McLean D Pollock
Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral SciencesOverview
Dr. Pollock is a public health researcher and clinical social worker who designs and evaluates peer-based social support interventions to promote self-management, emotional health and well-being, and quality of life for adolescents, young adults and parents of youth with special health care needs. Her work includes evaluation projects to help local collaborations assess their work and evaluate the impact of their interventions on child and family well-being and studies investigating the role of chronic conditions and special health care needs on youths’ development and transition into adulthood. Dr. Pollock is also the Program Director of the Bobby’s Coaches program, a peer support program for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors and their families.
