Associate Professor of DermatologyOverview
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Duke University, and a Staff Physician in dermatology at the Durham VAMC. I am a pigmented lesion expert and Director of early melanoma detection and surveillance in the Melanoma disease group of the Duke Cancer Institute. I have clinical expertise in dermoscopy and mole mapping technology for the early detection of skin cancer. I am the Dermoscopy Faculty Champion in dermatology for dermoscopy resident education. I have mentored several medical students and served as their continuity clinic attending during their 3rd year of medical school. I have several research interests in cutaneous oncology, specifically regarding the characteristics of melanoma in different populations.
