Radon is the leading environmental cause of lung cancer in the United States. Surveys have revealed that radon is a health disparity issue. There are many efforts underway to increase awareness of radon among all populations. At this event, North Carolina and South Carolina radon programs will share how they are working to increase awareness in their states. DCI will share information about their research which seeks to investigate climate impact on lung cancer via exposure to radon.
